Project: Heavy Lift Shear Leg Barge Client: Glowacki Engineering for American Bridge/Fluor Discussion: The above picture is the barge at ZPMC, Shanghai, China being fitted with the shear leg crane. The barge was purpose built to operate in the USA under Jones Act to install the mid span to the new San Francisco-Oakland Bay bridge. The barge is 400’ x 99’-10” ft x 22’. Maritime Design, Inc. performed and delivered the complete fabrication and assembly package. Glowacki Engineering performed all lead engineering. |
