Project: ‘Bechtolt’ Suction Cutter Dredge Client: Manson Construction Company
Discussion: The ‘Bechtolt” was an existing suction cutter dredge in operation with Manson Construction Co. and relocated from the Pacific Northwest to U.S. Southeast coast. Maritime Design, Inc. was tasked and successfully completed the design and engineering for the major overhaul and replacement of the main side floats, spuds, ladder extension, gantry and rigging and spud gantry and hoists. The operational market for the ‘Bechtolt’ was substantially broadened with this accomplishment. |
