Project: 250’ Clamshell Dredge Client: Weeks Marine, Inc. Discussion: The “Weeks 563” is a 250’-0” Clamshell Dredge designed for worldwide operation, ocean service, specially manned for dredging operations and was prepared in detail and reviewed by Bureau Veritas for ocean class loadline assignment. Maritime Design, Inc. performed and prepared the complete design package and comprehensive build specification for shipyard bid and construction. The dredge barge incorporates two walking spuds and one stationary spud for station keeping, accommodation house, machinery house and spud winch rooms. |

Project: 80,000 BBL Double Hull Tank Barge Client: Seaboats, Inc. (SENESCO)
Discussion: Maritime Design, Inc. re-conveyed an owner furnished concept design and proceeded on behalf of SENESCO to successfully perform and complete the detail build package including all structural and cnc lofting, piping/pipe spool work packages, electrical and mechanical details and ABS submittals/approvals. Maritime Design, Inc. also prepared the model test agenda and skeg design for towing operations. |
